Louise Thomas
founder and creator of Yum Yum Yoga
Hi
my name is Louise and I am the creator of Yum
Yum Yoga. I have been a yoga, pilates
and aerobics teacher for the past 22 years .
I am a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma holder
and have the Birthlight Toddler Yoga Certificate
and I am currently doing the Birthlight Baby
Yoga Diploma. I also have 'A' levels in Dance
Theatre Studies and Communications. I was inspired
to create Yum Yum Yoga when I had my daughter
Summer and saw how she loved to move , explore
and sing. I created Yum Yum Yoga because I wanted
to share my love of yoga and yoga philosohpies
with her. The joy of movement and exercise,
sharing and being kind, following simple instruction,
taking care of the world around us, eatting
healthy food, being positive about ourselves
and others and loving life!

the BWY and has practiced yoga for
the last ten years and comes from a musical
background. She has 10 years experience
working with children and feels passionately
that children are the experts at playing!
Through
play children master skills in all areas of
development. The interwoven mix of yoga, music,
dance, movement and imaginary play at
Yum Yum Yoga help to nurture, inspire
and encourage children to do what they do best
- play!
Children are natural yogis and do yoga moments
quite naturally. With help and guidance we would
like to help you do the same with your child.
We are really chilled
out relaxed people so please don’t worry
if your child is shy or doesn't’t want
to join in straight away. With you participation
and encouragement they will be fine! Don’t
worry if you think your child won’t sit
still. The Yum Yum
philosophy is relaxed nurturing one with a free
spirited approach. |

Children learn from repetition, rhythm and rhyme.
So we keep things simple and repeat them. We
will sing some songs you know like ‘Twinkle
Twinkle Little Star’ pretending to be
a star. We have also written some simple Yum
Yum tunes and rhymes to go with the movements.
Don't worry if singing isn't your thing you
can have just as much fun listening. We also
have some lovely props to make the class even
more fun and magical. Each term we explore different
themes and learn about the world around us.
During this term we are exploring the home and
how we can help Mum and Dad we are also looking
at different modes of transport and fun places
to visit. We also encourage inquiry and ask
questions to stimulate communication and thought
processes.
Please
wear suitable loose fitting clothing, bare feet
and bring a drink for the both of you. Bring
a mat or something similar for both you and
your child. We believe Yum
Yum yoga holds the magic that will allow
today’s children to be healthy in mind,
body and spirit.
So skip, slither, bounce or fly over to your nearest Yum Yum Yoga class.
We would love to see you!
